The verdict

This is the hotel our Geneva hotels guide describes without naming it: a chain 4-star in Les Pâquis that presents itself as central. In practical terms it is, seven minutes from the station and from the lake.

With 4.2 from more than 3,000 Google reviews, it is one of the busiest addresses in the area. You come for reliability, not charm.

The area

Les Pâquis is the liveliest district on the right bank: restaurants from all over the world, bars, and the Bains des Pâquis at the end of the street. The same district is also lively late at night, with the contrasts of a station quarter.

The Novotel had one of the lowest starting prices among central 4-stars in late November, but no rooms were left for the fair's public weekend.

Our advice

For Watches and Wonders, book in the autumn. Outside the fair, it is a solid base for a weekend on foot between the harbour and the Old Town.

Check rooms at Novotel Genève Centre: the link opens the hotel on Booking.com for an upcoming weekend, change the dates to suit your stay. Prices vary a lot from one week to the next: book with free cancellation.

See availability on Booking.com →Partner link: booking through it supports the site at no extra cost to you.
